Antalya's hot and humid Mediterranean climate means air conditioners run for most of the year. That heavy workload accelerates the build-up of dust, dirt, mould and bacteria inside the indoor unit. A dirty air conditioner contaminates the air you breathe, consumes significantly more electricity and breaks down earlier. At Tesisat Antalya we provide professional indoor unit deep washing, filter disinfection, drain line clearing and refrigerant gas checks for split, cassette and ducted systems across all Antalya districts. The core of a professional service is the indoor unit deep wash. The unit is either partially dismounted or sealed in place with a specialist waterproof washing bag. Filters are removed and cleaned separately. The evaporator coil, fan wheel and casing are treated with a biocidal detergent solution, left for the required contact time, then rinsed thoroughly with pressurised water. All dirty water is collected inside the bag — no splashing onto walls or furniture. The unit is returned clean, disinfected and odour-free.
Filters are the first line of defence and the fastest to clog. In Antalya's dusty environment, filters should be checked every 4–6 weeks. A professional service goes beyond brushing off loose dust — filters are soaked, washed and disinfected against bacteria and mould. Damaged or degraded filters are replaced at this stage.
Condensation water must flow freely through the drain line. Over time, a biofilm layer and sediment narrow or completely block the line. We clear the drain mechanically or with pressurised air, then apply a biocidal rinse to slow regrowth. Clearing a blocked drain immediately stops water dripping inside.
The outdoor unit accumulates dust, cotton seeds and airborne debris that restrict airflow through the condenser coil. A blocked condenser makes the compressor run hotter, shortening its life. We clean accessible outdoor units with compressed air or low-pressure water. For high-floor locations our team carries appropriate access equipment.
Reduced cooling performance often points to low refrigerant pressure. We test system pressure with a manifold gauge; if it falls below specification we top up the refrigerant charge. If a gas leak is suspected we locate and repair the leak first, then recharge. Refrigerant work requires trained technicians — it is not a DIY task.
Ceiling cassette and ducted systems are common in Antalya hotels, offices and large villas. These require specialist access and cleaning procedures — four-way louvres, drain trays, filters and coils are all cleaned individually. We offer group service contracts for properties with multiple cassette units.
The best time for air conditioner maintenance in Antalya is April–May, before the summer heat arrives. Benefits are threefold: the unit is ready before peak demand, appointments are easier to book, and June–August emergency callout fees are avoided. Many of our customers book their annual service in spring on a standing basis.
Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Toshiba, Fujitsu, LG, Samsung, Arçelik, Beko, Vestel, Bosch, Alarko Carrier, York and all other split, cassette and ducted air conditioner brands. Cleaning procedures are standardised across brands; only physical access methods vary by model.
