Sewer Camera Inspection in Antalya – Up to 25 Metres, Recorded and Delivered on CD
Most sewer line problems develop out of sight, under walls, floors or gardens. A blockage that keeps coming back, an odour that comes and goes, a stain appearing on the downstairs neighbour's ceiling: they all show that something is wrong inside the line, but not where or why. With our new in-pipe camera system, Tesisat Antalya inspects sewer lines up to 25 metres, records the footage and delivers the recording on CD. We identify the problem by seeing it, not by guessing, and limit any breaking to the one point that really needs it. Call us for information and appointments: +90 532 694 74 19
How Does a Camera Inspection Work?
A waterproof, illuminated camera head is fed into the pipe on the end of a flexible push cable. As the camera moves along the line, the picture appears live on a monitor; our technician follows the line step by step and stops at problem points for a detailed look. The whole inspection is recorded.
The camera enters the line through existing openings: manholes and inspection covers, rodding points, or a removed trap or toilet connection. No breaking is needed for the inspection.
How Much Line Does 25 Metres Cover?
Our camera can travel up to 25 metres from its entry point. In practice this covers:
- Waste lines inside a flat: Kitchen, bathroom and washing machine drains up to the stack
- Stacks and horizontal lines in a building: Shared line sections running through the basement or under the ground floor
- Garden lines: In many buildings, the line from the building exit to the manhole or connection chamber
- Detached house and villa lines: The section from the house to the garden manhole or septic tank connection
Longer lines, such as collector lines on residential sites, are inspected section by section by entering through different manholes and rodding points.
What Can the Camera Find?
- Cracks and fractures: Damage caused by ground settlement, old materials or external loads
- Collapse and deformation: Pipes that have lost their shape, especially under gardens and car parks
- Root intrusion: Roots entering the line through joints or cracks
- Build-up: How far grease, limescale and sludge have narrowed the pipe
- Displaced and open joints: Pipe joints that have separated or were connected out of line
- Sags where water collects: Sections where the fall has been lost, water stands still and waste settles
- Foreign objects: Wet wipes, toys, construction debris and other objects stuck in the line
- Wrong connections: Rainwater lines connected to the sewer line, or the other way round
When Should You Have a Camera Inspection?
- Blockages that keep returning at the same point: If a cleared blockage comes back quickly, there is a permanent problem in the line. The camera shows whether the cause is build-up, roots or a fracture.
- An odour with no obvious source: A persistent sewer smell inside the building or in the garden is often caused by a fracture or open joint in the line.
- Stains and damp on the floor below: To tell whether the leak is coming from the sewer line or from the clean water supply.
- Before buying a house or flat: Especially in older buildings, seeing the condition of the line before deciding to buy avoids surprises later.
- Before a renovation: Checking the old line before renewing a bathroom or kitchen prevents a faulty pipe being left under new tiles.
- Before and after drain jetting: The line is checked for fractures before jetting, and the result of the cleaning is documented on camera afterwards.
- Insurance and disputes: To document the location and cause of the problem in disputes with neighbours, site management, contractors or insurers.
Recording and Delivery on CD
The in-pipe footage is recorded from start to finish during the inspection. When the work is complete, the recording is transferred to CD and handed to you. The recording is valuable not just on the day but afterwards too:
- For insurance claims, as evidence showing where the damage is and what caused it
- With neighbours and site management, as concrete proof when responsibility is in dispute
- When buying or renting, as a record of the property's drainage condition
- When planning repairs, to show the problem to other tradespeople or to the management
- As an archive, to compare how the line has changed at the next maintenance visit
For owners who live abroad or manage their property in Antalya remotely, the recording is the most concrete way to see the condition of the line without being there.
How We Work
- Initial information: We ask about the problem, the age of the building and the approximate route of the line.
- Choosing the entry point: The manhole, inspection cover or rodding point the camera will enter through is located on site.
- Preparation: If the line is completely blocked or full of water, the blockage is cleared or the line is jetted first to get a clear picture.
- Inspection and recording: The camera is pushed along the line and the picture is watched live and recorded. Problem points are examined in detail.
- Review: We go through the footage with you on screen, explain the problems found and recommend solutions.
- Delivery on CD: The recording is transferred to CD and handed to you.
What Happens After the Inspection?
Once the camera has shown what the problem is, the solution becomes clear:
- If build-up or a grease layer is found, the line is cleaned with high-pressure drain jetting.
- If there is a single plug or a foreign object, it is removed with our pipe unblocking methods.
- If root intrusion is found, the roots are cleared and a repair is recommended for the point where they entered.
- If there is a fracture, collapse or open joint, a repair is planned for that section only; the whole line is not broken out.
Why It Matters in Antalya
- Hard water: Antalya's limescale-rich water combines with grease and soap to form a hard layer on the pipe wall. The camera shows how far this layer has narrowed the line.
- Citrus and garden roots: Root intrusion is common in Kepez, Döşemealtı and on sites with gardens. Only a camera can show where the root has entered.
- Older building stock: Older buildings often contain lines added at different times in different materials. The camera shows which section needs renewing.
- International buyers and remote owners: For people buying property in Antalya or managing it from abroad, the recording is the most concrete way to see the condition of the line without being on site.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How far can the camera travel inside the pipe? Up to 25 metres from its entry point. Longer lines are inspected section by section from different entry points.
- Does the inspection require any breaking? No. The camera enters through an existing manhole, inspection cover, rodding point or a removed trap connection.
- How do you deliver the footage? The recording is transferred to CD and handed to you; you can keep it for insurance, disputes, property purchases and repairs.
- What problems can the camera show? Cracks, collapses, roots, build-up, displaced joints, sags where water collects and foreign objects.
- Can you inspect a line that is full or blocked? A clear picture is not possible in a completely blocked, water-filled line; the blockage is cleared or the line jetted first, then inspected.
- Do you speak English? Yes. Our team includes English-speaking staff and we can go through the footage with you in English.
